Bantam is tech 1 Caldari frigate. Its a ship of choice in the beginning of eve for its boast nice amount of mining bonus and big cargo hold to boot. It boost 2 low slot, 2 mid slot and 2 high slot (2 turret hardpoints). Although this ship is not suitable to be use mining other than 0.9 or 1.0 system due to unable to defend itself from npc pirate attack. That's not true entirely though if the pilot able to fit in their drone bay, 5 light drone to defend itself from being attack. Still its lack defensive armament and their shields and armor are so paper thin, the pilot need to act cautious against any hostile presence. The price for the ship although good for newbie is not the cheapest of caldari frigate which condor still reigning champion of price. The focus of this ship is to provide newbie a decent mining frigate and cargo hauling to make enough cash to advance forward in time.Below is my fitting if i fly it now:

Medium Slot:
1x Small C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I
1x F-a10 Buffer Capacitor Regenerator
Low Slot:
2x Expanded Cargohold I
For most new caldari pilot is hard to fit this due to cash and skills but try to focus getting your ship fitted almost like this. Have fun and its a good mining frigate until you can treat yourself an osprey mining cruiser.
